ALSO ALSO ALSO! Tomorrow is the last day to register for the course at the Early Bird rate!
The Early Bird rate is $750. The price goes up a few hundred as of tomorrow, so this is the more cost effective option.
On another note, some great questions have come up that I wanted to address so that anyone who was wondering could get a chance to chew on them:
I don’t write fiction. Is this class still applicable to me?
ABSOLUTELY.
First off, I am not a fiction writer (unless you count everything I’ve ever posted on AO3, but we aren’t discussing that today!), and I’ve found astrology to be an incredibly invaluable tool in my personal and professional toolkits.
I mean it when I say this is an astrology class for writers — all writers. We do not get prescriptive based on genre.
In previous sessions, we have had playwrights, poets, ghost writers, short story writers, memoirists & other creative nonfiction writers, novelists, and folks with copywriting and marketing day jobs — and entirely unrelated day jobs!
The course is not a writing workshop but, rather, is geared to helping you transform your relationship to your writing process, as well as the behind-the-scenes business of your writing.
What, exactly, does the course cover?
We are going to spend 8 weeks covering the following astrological concepts and components of your own individual birth chart, tying them into your own writing and creative life in every single class session —
Your Sun — your sense of purpose and identity
Your Moon — your emotional life and physical body
Your Ascendant/rising sign — your persona, how you present yourself to the world
Your Chart Ruler (the planet that rules your rising sign) — the planet that is in the driver’s seat of your life; your motivation for living
Your Mercury — your relationship to your communication and writing life; how you think and process
Your 3rd House & its Ruler — the part of your birth chart that has to do with your communication and writing life, and what the planet that governs it tells us about the conditions you need to succeed
Your 2nd House & its Ruler — the part of your birth chart that has to do with how you make money, and what the planet that governs it tells us about how you are best positioned to secure your own income
Your 10th House & its Ruler — the part of your birth chart that has to do with public roles & reputation & career, and what the planet that governs it tells us about how you are known in the world
The Midheaven — often called the “career point” in the chart
These astrological concepts are grounded in conversations that examine our own individual mythologies, routines, and business practices as writers. Each session is built with prompts and pre-class workbooks that connect that the astrology of your chart to your real-life practices.
ICYMI, here are some lovely things course alumni have shared about their experience:
“This class opens up a whole new world in what it means to be a writer. In eight weeks, I learned so much from Jeanna and others in the class. It was a supportive environment and experience — highly recommend it.”
— Enid
“Take this class. You owe it to yourself to finally understand how YOU work. There is so much content in the world about how to write and what your goals as a writer should be. Yet, none of it compares to the wisdom you will gain by looking inward and understanding your birth chart. After taking Astrology for Writers, I gained clarity on my purpose as a writer as well as the confidence to pursue it. However, the most fulfilling thing that I walked away with was a deep sense of compassion, acceptance, and self-love for the unique process I need and have to write my best work. In all honesty, every writer, no matter where they are in their career, should make the time to take this class with Jeanna. It is THAT remarkable.”
— Luna Damiana
“The course is great - a grounded and practical approach to seeing your professional writer self in your chart. Make sure you go to office hours - they’re optional, but they were an essential opportunity to go deeper for me and my classmates, and Jeanna really delivered.”
— Jason H.
“I learned so much about my chart from Jeanna. I had no idea how practical the information would be! It was a great jumping-off point to consider past patterns, how to reframe perceived limitations, and how I can approach my current challenges with a new outlook. Something that surprised me: I had never considered that taking humans out of the story, and just looking at my life through the lens of celestial bodies and their dramas, would remove past hurts and burdens and clarify my opportunities. Total game changer for me. ”
— Katherine
As always, let me know if you have any questions! Hope to see you in class.
Xx,
Jeanna
