Happy solstice weekend, beloveds. Here in New York City, we have snow! “A solstice miracle,” as my friend
texted today. You may get a not insignificant amount of déjà vu this week — lots of the astrological energy explicitly connects back to recent, previous conversations. This is a week for tying off loose ends and revisiting issues you thought were closed. Given that the moon is waning, this is also a time for rest and relaxation and recuperation and not trying to do The Most.
There’s no paywall on the forecast this week — it’s free for everyone. My gift to y’all! <3
Also! If you’re starting to do your year-ahead journaling and are astrologically or magically preparing for next year, I’ve got a class for you coming up on the upcoming New Moon in Capricorn: We’ve Been Here Before: The Astrology of 2025, which focuses on historical moments and movements (like the French Revolution) that experienced similar astrology to what we are having now.
And if you are looking to introduce more spiritual or magical structure to underpin your creative life, my love Meg Jones Wall and I are hosting a 6-month container for collective creative devotion: The Grove. Sign up before December 31st to secure Early Bird pricing!

4:59pm: Jupiter Rx in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces (14*)
This kind of moment tends to be immediately obvious as a collective story, broadly applied, than on an individual level. In mid-August, during the first opening Jupiter-Saturn square of the year, I wrote,
In December 2020, Jupiter and Saturn met in a Great Conjunction at 0* Aquarius, beginning a new 20-year cycle of world building. On the national stage, it was around that time in 2020 that Joe Biden was confirmed to have won the presidential election. And so it feels fitting that this first big check-in, this “we just wrapped the first quarter, let’s bring it into a huddle,” is happening the week of the DNC.
As we now know, that week of the DNC, Kamala Harris was confirmed as the Democratic nominee. At the time, these moments (Biden winning over Trump; Kamala’s relatively seamless confirmation as the nominee) seemed to many like course corrections, like disaster was being averted.
Jupiter-Saturn cycles aren’t just about what a people believe, but about what they are committing to, collectively. It’s like wines of wine grapes snaking up a trellis, structured and supported so that they can grow to peak ripeness.
For many of us, that kind of hopeful growth has felt hard lately. These last months have been emotionally fraught and very rightfully full of fear. I suppose folks who would say that my partner and I getting married are Hell-doomed sinners are having the opposite experience.
But I keep coming back to the Jupiter-Saturn pattern as it has played out in the United States: how the new 20-year cycle coincided with Biden’s confirmed win in 2020, and with the nomination of Kamala earlier this year.
And I cannot help but wonder. (While trying to not be a conspiracy theorist. While trying to stay rooted in reality, to prepare for what is really happening.)
At the very least, I wouldn’t be surprised if a major news story about the incoming administration and/or the election results dropped just in time for the holidays. I spoke a little more in depth about this on the December forecast of Call Your Coven:
There will be a third and final check-in of this opening square in the Jupiter-Saturn cycle on June 15, 2025 (incidentally, the day after Trump’s birthday). So at the very least, this initial story is not done. Stay tuned.

5:47pm: Mercury in Sagittarius opposite Jupiter Rx in Gemini (14*)
Whatever conversations you were having around December 4th have come back around for a final wrap-up, as Mercury (finally direct) moves onward and upward. Likely to be a very chatty, or at least intellectually curious, day. But the thing about high-octane buzzy-brain days is that all that energy needs to be pointed in a direction — otherwise it can result in frazzled internet “research” or losing yourself in TikTok. Regardless of whether you’re in early drafting stages or last-copyedit revisions, make a plan in advance for your writing session.
Also, give any kiddos in your life a constructive outlet to direct what is bound to be a high-energy day.

2:28am: Mercury in Sagittarius square Saturn in Pisces (14*)
Time to climb whatever walls you were running into circa December 6th. Or make the decision to fully walk away. Here, we are rejecting the sunk cost fallacy and making a decision that is best for you. There is a limitation here that you’ve been kicking against, but today, there is an opportunity for resolution.
Remember that, with creative work, “no” doesn’t necessarily mean “quit” or “you’re a terrible writer.” It may just mean revise or rethink. It may mean “not this project, but that other one.”
Saturday, December 28
2:41am: Venus in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus (23*)
Is the work stuck because you’re physically stuck in your space? Is your home office, living room, or even bedroom work setup in need of a change? Something about the aesthetic needs to move through the birth canal, and shifting your immediate environment might be the quickest way to adjust the creative flow. Alternately, creating in another modality (drawing, coloring books, etc.) might help free up some space in your brain to work out the tension you’re experiencing in the work.
This is a time, however, to be mindful of making changes just for change’s sake — especially relationship wise, whether in your personal or professional life. This can bring really itchy, uncomfortable feelings to the surface. Pay attention to anything that’s not working, but don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Also: if you’re looking for a customized Year Ahead 2025 reading.
I am releasing seven (7!) Year Ahead slots for the end of January to early February 2025 — and then that’s it! Books closed.
You should probably know that it’s not just a Year Ahead, for those of you looking to plan specific events / book releases / etc. One of my colleagues informed me this week that I should absolutely be louder about the fact that my Year Aheads often include electional work, helping clients choose ideal dates for a book launch, retirement party, romantic vacation, and more.
If that is of interest to you, you can book with me here.
Also, after this round of Year Aheads are done, I will be closed to new clients in 2025! So if you were hoping to get a reading with me soon, this is the time to do it.

Happy solstice! You mentioned in the last post I think that you talked about this/Yule/etc on the pod, but I couldn't find the episode. Did I miss it in a previous episode?
HAPPY SOLSTICE!! 💙🤍❄️ Thank you for this lovely forecast and for all those that have come before it!
