🎧 New Call Your Coven episode! — a listener request on Building Spiritual Community.

✨ Curious about how creativity shows up in the birth chart? My dear friend

Maeg Keane
and I are offering a lecture, Creativity Through the Houses, currently available for pre-sale and officially dropping on May 26th.

🪩 NEW MINI-READING! For those of you stumped as to how to represent yourself online, I bring you: Unsticking Your Personal Brand(ing). And you can, ofc, still get an Unsticking Your Creative Practice reading, too!

all times are eastern

Monday, May 12th

1:22pm: Mercury in Taurus square Pluto Rx in Aquarius (3*)

Simmer down, go for a walk, play a video game, curl up under a weighted blanket. Shortly after the Full Moon, we’ve got a major communication moment that could be a li’l rough. If tensions or Feelings are high in conversations with bosses, coworkers, agents, managers, partners, etc. etc. etc. — take a beat, take a break.

This energy is honest, but it’s also busting through some staid power dynamics in the interest of self-transformation. Be kind to yourself and remember that everyone is going through the same energy.

Saturday, May 17th

7:32pm: Sun in Taurus conjunct Uranus in Taurus (27*)

The last Sun-Uranus conjunction in Taurus of (most of) our lifetimes! (There will be one more co-presence in Taurus in April 2026, when the sun is at 0* and Uranus is at 29* Taurus, but this is the last pile-up convo!) While Uranus will have a roughly 6-month period back in Taurus November of this year through April next year, this is the end of the ~bulk~ of the story, and it’s a good moment to consider the Taurus house of your chart, the areas of which have been going through upheaval and major change since 2017. To spend some time journaling and reflecting.

Personally, as an Aquarius rising, Taurus is my 4th house of home and family, roots and heritage, relationships with my parents and grandparents. This Uranus transit has coincided with so many literal abrupt changes and upheavals. On the home front, Uranus in Taurus saw me getting my first studio apartment (in Brooklyn) as well as, eventually, moving in with my now-wife Meg and finding our Favorite NYC Apartment Ever, specifically chosen because it’s in walking distance to so many of our friends. This last year has seen the initiation of very serious Real Talk with beloveds about what it would look like to live more communally and to embrace interdependence as this era of fascism takes root. On the family front, this transit saw the unexpected death of my last living grandparent (whom I was once very close to) as well as a full estrangement from my mother (I had already been distanced from my MAGA dad). I also got serious about my ancestor practice shortly after Uranus entered Taurus, which in hindsight seems so obviously on the nose.

But the delineations don’t just have to do with the topics of the house. Creatively, I quite literally wrote and published a book (Heretic, for those who don’t know! barnes & noble link only bc it isn’t available on bookshop anymore!) that had much to do with home and place, belonging and what counts as “family.”

We’ll reflect more on this latest Uranus in Taurus transit in July when Uranus goes into Gemini (!), but this sun-Uranus moment, seeding one last wave of change in our Taurus houses, is a chance to reflect on what and who is home, and to further deepen our relationship with ourselves.
