Since the world is on fire (quite literally, here in NYC), a quick recap of everything new and noteworthy:
My partner Meg Jones Wall (3am.tarot) and I are getting married! you know, for however long that ends up being legal, given the state of our government. If you’d like to send us a little something by way of supporting two chronically ill, self-employed queers who rarely get to travel, our honeymoon fund is here.
My dear friend and Call Your Coven co-host
has a super-informative new episode on so-called “angel” numbers. I listened to it yesterday while at the nail salon and learned so much!Marvel (and MCU-curious) fans: I wrote about what Agatha All Along gets right (and wrong) about witchcraft. Industry experts (and beloveds of mine!) Mecca Wood, Cassandra Snow, and Meg all generously offered their thoughts, as well.
It’s come to my attention that many folks here do not know that I write about astrology for writers because while I am an astrologer, I have always been, first and foremost, an actual writer. There are lots of grifters in this space, but I’d like to think I’m legit since my hybrid memoir, Heretic, which is about both growing up in the cult of evangelicalism and also leaving it, came out in 2022 with HarperCollins. I know budgets are tight, and Bookshop (where I’d normally link to) has my book backordered, so I’m going to share that Heretic is almost 50% off on Amazon right now (please note that there will be no paperback, so $15 for the hardcover is as good as it’s gonna get!). Get a copy of Heretic for yourself, for your queer friend who grew up in the rural Midwest, for your beloveds who don’t understand the deep, deep hold that evangelical Christianity has on this nation.
And if you’d like to watch my book launch conversation with fellow ex-evangelical
, Books Are Magic helpfully keeps their recorded events archived on YouTube! And that’s what you missed on Glee. Now, for the week ahead.
