April 3: Mercury enters Taurus…
Things take the time they take, Mary Oliver wrote. If this transit had a tagline, that would be it. Mercury in Taurus is the tortoise to Mercury in Aries’ hare. Slow and steady wins the race, and the good news is, the race actually gets finished — never a guarantee when Mercury is transiting fire signs, where we’re firing on all cylinders with ideas but where the follow-through is not as much of a priority.
Which is to say: while the writing may not feel as exciting these next few weeks (which will include an even torrentially slower retrograde), take advantage of this methodical energy to go through the work you thought about, or produced, during these last few weeks of Mercury in Aries, and consider where you actually want to put your energy. Like any good farmer, Taurus archetypes know that you can’t invest to the fullest in everything. The job now is to figure out where your energy will best be served.
