This month: Mercury, the planet that governs writers, transits through three signs (Aries, Taurus, and Gemini), making numerous daily aspects as they go. A heavy and dramatic Mars-Saturn moment. Venus enters Pisces and promptly makes magic with Jupiter and Neptune. A rare Jupiter-Neptune connection. Taurus season. And so much more. What it means for you, below.

April 2: Mercury conjunct Chiron in Aries…

Our oldest pains, the deepest patterned grooves in our psyche, may feel particularly fresh and close to the surface, so be gentle with yourself. Mercury, the planet of communication that governs our thought life, connects with Chiron, the wounded healer, in a bold, brash Aries way that may feel less than comfortable. If you’re looking to gain insight into historical wounds, today may offer a new perspective through journaling, mindfulness practices, or other therapeutic art forms.

… & Sun conjunct Mercury in Aries

Saying what you mean is a little easier right now, so if there’s something on your mind, it’s a good moment to be direct — or circumspect. When the sun connects with Mercury in a same-sign conjunction, there’s a fusion of our thought processes with a sense of purpose, which, in Aries, can take all the filters off. Today could bring a particularly productive writing binge, or a free-flowing conversation with a creative collaborator or friend.
