Happy Sagittarius season, officially.

If you’re not in the mood to write yet, just wait. The only notable aspects this week all involve Mercury, the planet that governs writers: a reminder here at the end of the year to hold things lightly, to stay flexible and embrace the winds of change even as winter settles in. We begin with a Mercury-ruled full moon on Monday (which gets its own newsletter) and end with a Mercury ingress into Capricorn.

And if the writing has been rough here at the end of year, and you’re wanting to make sure you start the new year on the right note, I’ve got an offering for you: one with a built-in writing routine and a built-in writing community.

Showing Up for the Work is a 12-week container that will run for the entirety of Q1, from early January to late March.

Here’s what some members of the recent cohort had to say about their experience:

This container created a generative space that spilled out into every part of my life. With this group and space for accountability, I worked through giant structural changes in my project and I was suddenly prioritizing my writing by setting those often elusive boundaries on my time in order to work. It's always true that to write, you have to just sit down and do it, but this container made it easier to come to the page day after day. — Laura Guidry

Showing Up is a practice. Jeanna creates a gentle container of intention & community, a space to show up to the solitary work of writing. As someone who periodically struggles with maintaining a regular writing practice (or any regular practice tbh), Jeanna's magic lies in offering a practice of accountability that feels generative, rather than punitive. Downright lovely; what a gift. — Ames Wilder

I'm someone who works best with community accountability. Jeanna offered Showing Up to the Work at exactly the moment I needed it, and I was able to finish a complete outline and initial synopsis for my entire book over a month before I thought I'd have it done. I'm in such better shape preparing for the next stage of this project because I participated in this container, and I can't wait for us to have another round! — Shelley Jay Shore

I hope you’ll consider joining us in the new year. Registration will be open until the end of December.

And now, for the week ahead!
