Happy Pisces season, babes! This week, Mercury changes signs, and there are some Big & Juicy aspects for writers. It’s all here!
Sidebar: I ended up accidentally taking the last week off for Mental Health (the last few newsletters were written and scheduled a few weeks back), and it’s really revealed just how deeply my body and soul are in need of rest right now. So if that’s also you at this particular moment in time, I encourage you to remember that living a creative life happens in seasons, that input is just as valuable as output (even when you’re on deadline), and that, as an old college friend liked to walk around campus saying, we are human beings, not human doings. You’d be surprised by just how many people will honor requests for extensions and the like.
Welcome, the restorative waters of Pisces season.

11:13pm: Sun enters Pisces
We move from the chill, intellectual winter winds of Aquarius into the deep oceans of Pisces. In the past, I’ve called folks with Pisces suns the “magical myth-makers,” and I do think there is some truth to that archetype. “Dreamy” and “spiritual” are words that get tossed around with these folks, sure, but there’s also an intuition here, a keen sense of observation and an ability to pick up on the slightest shift around them that can be used for their own purposes. There’s an ability to wield their understanding of the world around them to help lead the way for the rest of us. Some Pisces writers you may know include Edna St. Vincent Millay, Anais Nin, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Ralph Ellison, Julia Cameron, Janet Mock, and Judith Butler.
