The second and final eclipse of eclipse season is Monday, and it will get its own newsletter. Otherwise, it’s a relatively light week, and thank goodness — the malefics, Mars and Saturn, are meeting for a conjunction.
Also also also! A casual reminder that you can now enlist me for Book Proposal Support & Coaching, with everything from a self-paced independent study to a full-tier 3-month coaching, editing, and agent querying package.

4:36pm: Mars in Pisces conjunct Saturn in Pisces (14*)
Is there a tough conversation you need to have with someone, or a particularly difficult task that you’re trying to accomplish? Try to reschedule it. Inasmuch as you can schedule any spaciousness or grace for yourself today, do so. When Mars (heat, conflict, passion) and Saturn (limitations, boundaries, responsibilities) meet, it’s a kind of symbolic new moon for difficulty and frustration. Traditional astrology calls these two planets the “malefics” of the sky — planets that tend to both bring and govern challenging areas of life. When they meet up, it’s best to plan as much softness as possible.
At this point, it feels responsible to point out that, for the last few years, difficult Mars-Saturn alignments have coincided with the start of lockdown as well as the rise of new COVID variants.
