the writer's week ahead: 6.23.24-6.29.24

We’re almost to the end of June! Happy Pride, especially, to all my fellow NYC folks who are gearing up for a week. Stay hydrated, apply extra sunscreen, and make sure you have at least one Mary Poppins bag with meds and bandages and snacks for everyone! LOVE Y’ALL, HAVE FUN SEMI-RESPONSIBLY. Tell cops nothing, tell EMTs everything, etc. etc.

In writing news, if you, like me, are looking to prevent the Summer Slump, I’ve got something for you: the next Showing Up to the Work, in the form of a 4-week summer sprint. We’ll write together from July 22nd to August 14th, Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-3p Eastern. These groups are always so special, and I’m so excited to do one over the summer break. (Also: this is the second-to-last Showing Up of the year! The next and final one will be in November, as a “bang out your work before the holiday madness sets in.”)
