Happy Pride, beloveds! As our trans foremother Marsha P. Johnson said, “no Pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.”

This is a moderately busy week, if only for the fact that Mercury enters Gemini and consequently starts talking to everyone. The sun, Venus, and Jupiter are already here in Gemini, and with both of the planets I most associate with art-making (Mercury & Venus) now here, there is a tremendous emphasis on this part of your life and how it informs your art-making. Look to the Gemini house of your chart for more information and insight about what kinds of topics you may be writing about, or may be especially impacting your writing process.

Also also also! There are only 3 spots left in my June booking calendar for My Best Writing Practice. If you want a reading with me sooner rather than later, this summer is the time to do it! I’ve told the Discord already, but my books (and offerings, generally) will be entirely closed September and October (as I’ll be a Visiting Writer, teaching memoir to creative writing students at Cornell College) and I hope to (if I can afford it) take November and December as a holiday/writing sabbatical.

Refreshed Discord link is below.

3:36am: Mercury enters Gemini

After whizzing through the sky at an astronomical rate, the psychopomp that traverses the heavens, the hells, and the earth itself arrives in one of their home signs. In Gemini, Mercury flexes its curiosity. Conversations on social pick up speed again as the collector, the magpie, craves new gossip, new information, new new new.
