Loved the Eclipse. In these times we understand the scientific/astronomical process. We receive various views via the internest that we would not otherwise see. YET IT IS STILL A WONDROUS MYSTERY which invites us to pause and consider this amazing event.
I finished two quilt projects. One a small pouch with a new technique. And a mini quilt full of orange, turquoise, yellow greens, and pops of blue and red purple. I practiced embroidery, hand tying, and sewing secure buttons. I loved that I finished each project but that I listened to my rhythms and started to know when to hold back and when to keep going.
After being asked a while back to write the forward to a friend’s latest collection of poetry and multi media collages, I received the paper copy and turned it around in less than a week, post-travel AND with a gigantic stye in one eye.
Best part? I am so fucking proud of what I’ve written, affirming that I can write again post-TBI.
Friday being an offering to Venus and beauty is such a vibe. I am loving the response to my new offers this week - launching a fragrance writing experience and thinking up ways to bring community, beauty writing, and scent together is very fulfilling! And I think a good offering to Venus 😌❤️
This week has been very chaotic, but I loved taking my friend to an exclusive after-hours art gallery event last night to get their mind off a break up. It doesn’t erase the pain, but it was fun to take them out for a night of creativity and inspiration.
These posts have been such a joy, Jeanna. I too am down for just about anything maple (except when it's in perfume, strangely), so yes to happy maple cookies.
My mother makes a maple mousse that is basically whipped heavy cream and maple syrup and the texture of it will melt the brain entirely in the best way.
I didn't get to see the eclipse because it was too cloudy to see the partial...buuuut I did sit on the beach while it was happening and had a really profound meditation, followed by a gorgeous hike through the woods, which felt so healing and joyful. I've been thinking about it all week :)

I love this! It was so special seeing everyone gather to stop and stare for a few moments.
If was so cute to see so many videos of people hooting, hollering, and cheering for the moon crossing in front of the sun lol!

Quilting projects! Omg this is so cool!
Oooh are there photos of these projects somewhere online? I'd love to see them and properly fangirl over them.

Oh that’s such a lovely and thoughtful outing! Nothing beats a friend who sits with you in grief.

I’m so glad!
And heather…. I’m still thinking about the cookies. Best maple cookies I’ve ever had? Maybe!

Thank you!! <3
LOVE YOU
