A Bitchin' Yule to you!! I'm just trying to relax a bit this week, which of course I have no idea how to do, but I'm working on it. After reading my Libra Rising prompts for the Great Conjunction I've been thinking about how I did a pile of work with my "inner child" archetype but it felt sticky and weird, and maybe that's because I did all that before realizing I'm transmasc and doing something about it? So I'm going to go back to that work and start again near the beginning and see what new insights and healing I can find there.
Baxstar - Is there any connection between when you did the inner child work before ("sticky and weird", love that description!), and the current/upcoming transits? Could be really interesting to hear about.
Bitchin’ Yule to you! I’ve got another week to get ms revisions to my agent before heading into submissions in Jan/Feb and whoa. I’m really hoping that the conjunction is on my side. Here’s to the in-between...🪐⭐️
Bitchin Yule is now the only way I’m going to refer to this holiday.
In typical Capricorn fashion, I spent the Solstice setting intentions, prepping my planner for next year, reading tarot, and journaling. And since then I’ve been taking a lot of naps and reading long, meaty books without worrying about rushing through it to get to the next thing, which had been lovey! (Currently reading Plain Bad Heroines by Emily Danforth and it is great!) it’s been good for me to embrace rest. My MS will still be there next week.
The Great Conjunction is arriving at a time when I am feeling very All Systems Go with my writing. I have a full draft of a novel I’m revising this semester and then hopefully be querying in the fall. It’s taken a long time to get to the point where I take myself seriously as a writer so now that I’m here I’m ready to buckle in and enjoy the ride :)
Bitchin' Yule and Chappy Chanukkah to all! (I live in a half-Jewish family, and we say stuff like that, so hopefully no one is offended.) May the 'birth' of Jesus Christ and/or Sol Invictus on Dec 25 be magical or interesting or something good.
The Great Conjunction and Solstice were tolerable. Nice to see Saturn and Jupiter in the sky over a nearby ranch dotted with cattle and Canada geese. I attended a labyrinth walk. Last year, I co-led this walk and ritual for 45 people in our tiny Western town. This year, not an official event, but a few showed up.
A homeless mom who is one of my closest friends since moving here—both our families were just living in the woods, camping, when we met 4+ years ago—was walking the labyrinth in honor of local homeless folks who have died from exposure or other reasons related to being unhoused over the last few years. I interviewed her about it for the local newspaper, my first pitch since the election. I did have a column about Kamala Harris right after the election, but otherwise I've been doing very little professional writing.
My son and I have had some Christmassy fun, though missing our extended family whom we won't be seeing despite their guilt trips to come visit. Our little Charlie Brown Xmas tree is looking kinda cute.
I've managed a couple Tarot readings, one for my mini-podcast, one for a client. Another client just sent me a $100 surprise holiday present, and bought a reading! So that was nice. I guess I'm getting back into the swing of things, slowly.
I did some occult experimentation on the Great Conjunction. I made a talisman attuned to both Jupiter and Saturn, with the intention of building grounded confidence in my ideas, expertise, and career. So far it seems to be a nice little friend for my desk.
As far as creative stuff goes, I'm picking up some projects that I had pretty severe burnout from, which is ... really fucking awesome. Baby steps, baby steps.

Yule and the winter solstice are very much the new year to me, so I feel you on the All Systems Go energy.
All the best of luck with the novel!! That rush of energy sounds promising xx

This sounds like a very full and productive week! We love avoiding the guilt trips! Hope the rest of your holiday week is full of rest.
Oh! I didn't see this on the day!
Bitchin' Yule right back!
